Maruti Suzuki R3: 2010 New Delhi Auto Show
NEW DELHI — The Maruti Suzuki R3, unveiled here at the 2010 New Delhi Auto Show, provides Indian customers with a sneak preview of the company's future MPV, which will be positioned in size and price below the Toyota Innova.
The R3 is a six-passenger compact van with three rows of seats and rear-hinged rear doors. It is built on a stretched version of the Suzuki SX4 platform. The Maruti Suzuki R3 will offer Indian customers a choice of four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, as well as a compressed natural gas option.
Production is said to be at least two years away.
